I wish everyone a Happy New Year. In the previous year there is hardly any sports activities as the guidelines Covid 19 pandemic were enforced.

The Basketball Federation of India is very optimistic to start their National events in the coming months.

The Basketball Federation of India initiative of involving the Arjuna, Dhyan Chand & Padma Shri Awardees in the activities of the game will take the Indian Basketball to new heights. BFI hopes the presence of the stalwarts will provide the inspiration to the upcoming young players and raise their game.

Indian youngsters have enormous potential and promise in recent times with their excellent performance at the international stage.

The BFI together with FIBA, and with the support of Government of India under the guidance of Sports Authority of India, has chalked out a detailed and comprehensive program to upgrade the quality of competition for Indian basketball.

We do hope Indian basketball will reach the heights it deserves soon.
