Zoran Visic was appointed as the Senior Men's Team head coach earlier this month at the beginning of the Senior National Men's Coaching Camp for the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers that is currently going on in Bengaluru at Sree Kanteerava Stadium.

Bengaluru, 9th November 2017:  Coach Zoran Visic has played an integral part in the development of Indian Basketball in the past few months, he was the Head Coach for the Senior Indian Women's team who won the division B championship at the FIBA Women's Asia Cup held earlier this year in July and also coached the U16 Indian Women's Team to victory in division B of the FIBA U16 Women's Asian Championship 2017. Under his coaching, both the U16 and Senior India Women's teams have had tremendous success and got elevated to division A in Asia. 

 

 

Coach Visic is a FIBA World Instructor and has over 34 years of professional basketball coaching experience across Serbia, Romania, Russia, Yugoslavia, Lebanon, and Singapore. Given Coach Visic's experience and success, a lot will be expected from him for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers for the Senior India Men's team as well. Senior National Men's Coaching Camp

 

 

The Senior National Men's Coaching Camp for the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers is currently going on in Bengaluru at Sree Kanteerava Stadium from 1st November to 20th November 2017. The camp started with 33 of the best players from all over India under the supervision of Head Coach Zoran Visic and Assistant Coaches Paramdeep Singh, Shambhaji Kadam and Laldingsanga Hangsing. The Selection Trials was held on 5th November 2017 to select the final list of probables for the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers – Window 1 Matches which are to be taken place from 23rd to 26th November 2017 in both Beirut, Lebanon and Bengaluru, Karnataka.

 

Team India plays its second World Cup Qualifier game against Syria on 26th November 2017 at 7.00 PM in Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru.
